Arkansas’ Drug Take Back Day returns for 2024

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The 14th annual Arkansas Drug Take Back Day is just over a week away.

On April 27, more than 300 sites will allow Arkansans to safely dispose of all unused or unwanted medications.

The Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership is encouraging people to download the ReviveAR app to find their nearest take-back location.

More than 23,500 pounds of medication were disposed of on last year’s take-back day.

Monitor

Keep track of your prescriptions and only take them according to the instructions

Secure

Store prescriptions in a safe place at home and work; do not share medications with others

Dispose

Discard unused medications at a Take Back collection site; do not flush medications or throw them in the trash
